In her 12 years as a civil defense litigator, Ms. King has earned a tremendous reputation in the legal community for successfully resolving cases and/or obtaining defense verdicts for her clients. Her practice is focused primarily on Pennsylvania and New Jersey general liability civil defense litigation, with a concentration on premises liability, risk management, construction defects and products liability as well as automobile negligence and bad faith litigation.
Ms. King has written and presented at numerous seminars over the years for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. She has extensive experience in providing training for the Philadelphia Compulsory Arbitration Program and teaching attorneys how to handle cases against pro-se litigants. She has lectured on various other topics, including first party and third party automobile negligence and in-house risk management tips and techniques. Virginia has also been published in The Legal Intelligencer’s Construction Law supplement.
Virginia is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She is also admitted into the United State District Court of the Eastern District and Middle District of Pennsylvania, as well as the United States District Court of New Jersey. She is a member of the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations. Virginia obtained her Juris Doctor from Temple University Beasley School of Law where she was a member of the prestigious Moot Court Honor Society and Political and Civil Rights Law Review. During law school she also interned for the Bucks County District Attorney Office, the Camden County Public Defender, and clerked for Judge Diane W. Sigmund of the United States Bankruptcy Court of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (with Honors) from University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.
In her spare time, Virginia enjoys spending time with her husband and son, as well as running and participating in outdoor boot camps and activities. She volunteers and fundraises for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for which she is a member of the Executive Committee and captains a team in the annual Philadelphia Light the Night Walk.
