GMR Partner Warren Holland achieved a favorable jury verdict in a Philadelphia trial involving a rear-end motor vehicle accident. The Plaintiff alleged that the collision caused serious physical limitations, even though both vehicles sustained little to no visible damage.
Throughout the trial, Plaintiff’s credibility was a central issue. Warren argued that Plaintiff’s injuries were not caused by the subject accident, highlighting medical records that documented a history of lower back problems and treatment for similar complaints less than a week before the collision.
Although Defendant admitted liability for the collision, the jury ultimately found that the Plaintiff failed to meet her burden of proving that the accident caused her claimed injuries, resulting in a defense verdict.
