GMR Partner Robert Stein and his team won a multi-week jury trial before eight jurors in Camden County for his commercial client stemming from a four-car accident resulting in lumbar fusion surgery for Plaintiff. Liability was not contested as Robert’s client’s truck initiated the collision; however, causation for Plaintiff’s damages was disputed during this trial.
In addition to her own testimony, Plaintiff presented three experts, including her spinal surgeon, her pain management specialist, and an economist. Robert called multiple expert witnesses, including an accident reconstructionist, biomechanical engineer, along with a radiologist and spine surgeon, to refute Plaintiff’s claims for disability and loss of earning potential for not being able to work since the accident. The jury returned a 7-1 no-cause verdict.
