Senior Counsel Keith Bursack and Associate Attorney Kara Brownlie prevailed on a motion for summary judgment, dismissing all claims against our client in a motor vehicle action in Hudson County, New Jersey. The plaintiffs alleged that the defendant negligently operated a motor vehicle, causing them to sustain injuries.
In this action, the co-defendant’s vehicle struck the plaintiff’s car, which then collided with our client’s vehicle. GMR swiftly and assertively argued that the co-defendant was solely responsible for the accident. Through the plaintiff’s testimony, GMR demonstrated that no facts supported liability on the defendant’s part, as the plaintiff confirmed that their vehicle was pushed into the defendant’s car due to the co-defendant’s impact.
The Court granted GMR’s motion for summary judgment, agreeing with Keith and Kara’s argument that our client was not negligent in operating their vehicle at the time of the accident.
