Overview
Francis Arevalo Arias is a senior associate with Goldberg, Miller & Rubin’s New York office. Francis is a seasoned attorney with more than a decade of experience in personal injury, insurance defense, SIU litigation, and PIP/No-Fault matters. Known for his sharp analytical approach and deep institutional knowledge of claims handling, he has built a career managing complex investigations, conducting Examinations Under Oath, and driving litigation from inception through trial and arbitration.
Over the course of his career, Francis has led a diverse portfolio of legal matters, developing evidence-based defense strategies with precision and consistency. His background includes extensive SIU work—ranging from medical provider verification to fraud detection—and a long track record of improving internal processes, training legal teams, and strengthening organizational workflows.
In addition to his litigation practice, Francis has served as an Associate Faculty, teaching undergraduate courses in Business Law, Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, and Environmental Law. He is committed to making legal concepts accessible, engaging, and relevant for students preparing for careers in law and related fields.
Francis earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he served as Managing Editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal.
Outside the courtroom and classroom, Francis enjoys spending time with his wife and two children as they care for their dogs, horses, and chickens. When not working, Francis spends most of his time taking care of barn chores and working on home improvement projects. When he’s not litigating, teaching, or working around the house, he enjoys reading works by the likes of Stephen King, Robert Jordan, or Brandon Sanderson.
