Marie S. Coronel is Senior Counsel with Goldberg, Miller and Rubin’s Northern New Jersey Office and brings over 20 years of experience as a trial attorney litigating hundreds of cases on behalf of insurance carriers and self- insured commercial clients.  Marie focuses her practice on automotive negligence, premises liability and workmen’s compensation matters.

Marie has extensive experience handling a wide range of motor vehicle cases including Third Party Bodily Injury, Uninsured/Underinsured, Fraud, Personal Injury Protection, Negligent Entrustment and Dram Shop Cases. She has spent years mastering the nuances of New Jersey’s Motor Vehicle Law which has enabled her to assist her clients in pre-suit evaluations and coverage analysis.

Marie has defended countless general liability cases for both personal and commercial lines.  These cases have involved slip, trip and falls, dog bites, assaults, construction and remediation. Handling complex litigation cases to a favorable resolution for her clients is paramount. Her attention to detail and thorough file handling has enabled her to aggressively represent her clients for a successful outcome whether that involves jury trials, arbitration, ADR, or favorable settlements.

Prior to starting with Goldberg, Miller & Rubin, Marie worked as trial counsel for an insurance carrier where she tried dozens of cases to verdict throughout New Jersey. Marie also managed her own law office overseeing hundreds of matters from claim adjustment through trial.  Further, Marie has worked in conjunction with national counsel handling class action Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) cases in Federal District Court.

When she is not practicing law, she spends time with her husband and five children. She also enjoys cooking, working out, reading and traveling. As a committed member of her community, Marie volunteers at her parish soup kitchen and food pantry. She also provides pro bono representation to indigent women in domestic violence cases in support of the Montclair-based organization Partners for Women and Justice.
