We are pleased to share that GMR Partner Claire Neiger secured summary judgment on behalf of our client in a medical malpractice case in Camden, NJ. Claire represented a nurse anesthetist who had been named as a defendant for alleged failure to follow a hand off procedure which allegedly resulted in a occurrence of Malignant Hypothermia and resulting quadriplegia in a 64-year-old male schoolteacher.
The other named Defendants, a hospital, another nurse, and doctors all settled out for an undisclosed 8 figure amount. Plaintiff demanded $3 million from the nurse represented separately by Claire. Claire filed a Motion for Summary Judgment on liability. Following a thorough review of the facts and persuasive legal argument, the court granted summary judgment, resulting in the complete dismissal of our client from the case. This outcome reflects Claire’s strategic approach and unwavering commitment to achieving favorable results for our clients.
