GMR Wins Cumberland County, New Jersey Summary Judgment

Attorneys Sean Dugan and Brandon Cohen successfully argued and won summary judgment for their client in Cumberland County, New Jersey.

Sean and Brandon represented an owner/driver of a vehicle insured by one of the firm’s automobile insurance carriers. The Plaintiff was a passenger in the insured’s car and sought damages from the insured and another vehicle due to a parking lot accident.

Sean and Brandon focused on the NJ Rules of the Road and established through written discovery and deposition that the insured had the right of way. They then argued for their client’s dismissal on liability. The Court granted summary judgment as the insured had the right of way, and the co-defendant was required to ensure that no vehicles traveling within the right of way were present before entering the roadway.
