Joseph Petka represented the defendant in a rear-end auto accident, in which the plaintiff had the benefit of full tort coverage. Mr. Petka stipulated to liability and defended the case on the credibility of the plaintiff’s damages. The plaintiff had approximately one year of treatment for a diagnosis of an annulus fibrosis tear at the C6-7, and chronic lumbar sprain. He continued to complain of pain and limitations at the time of trial. Despite the alleged significant treatment and alleged pain and limitations, the jury awarded only $1,000.
