Overview

Amy J. Koreen is an associate with Goldberg, Miller & Rubin, P.C. in our New York City office. Her current practice focuses on litigation defense for automotive negligence and other general liability matters with the New York GMR team. Amy is admitted to practice law in New York State, as well as in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, the D.C. Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Prior to her career at GMR, Amy was employed for a major insurance company for many years where she was an in-house counsel as an automobile insurance defense liability litigator. During that time, Amy was responsible for all phases of defense litigation, from initial pleadings through discovery and trial. She successfully argued countless motions and appeared at numerous arbitrations, depositions, settlement conferences, and trials.

Amy is a graduate of Touro Law School, where she was an articles editor for the Touro Journal of Transnational Law and published an article for same. She won an American Jurisprudence Award for a copyright law brief that she wrote, as well as a Service to the Bar award. Prior to that, Amy graduated from SUNY Albany with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. While in college, Amy worked for her New York State senator. She was active in student government and served as a student elected representative. She received a New York State Regents Scholarship during her full tenure there.

During law school, she was a legal extern for the Honorable David F. Jordan, Magistrate Judge, U.S. District Court, EDNY. She was also employed at the Huntington Town Attorney’s office and was a law school division delegate to an ABA summer convention.
Amy enjoys swimming, singing, and acting in local community playhouses outside of work.
