GMR Partner, Eamon Merrigan, obtained defense verdicts as to both plaintiffs in a Montgomery County jury trial presided over by Judge Richard Haaz.
Both plaintiffs alleged serious and permanent neck and back injuries requiring physical therapy, pain management injections, and periodic ongoing care over five years after the motor vehicle accident at issue. Eamon argued that the vehicles involved in the accident sustained very little damage and that it is highly unlikely that two people of different ages and body types sitting in different locations in the vehicle could have each sustained multiple similar injuries requiring similar treatment and testing.
Mr. Merrigan stipulated to negligence on behalf of his client. However, the jury still found no factual cause as to either plaintiffs’ injuries.
