Jennifer Lawson who goes by Jen, is an associate at GMR. She joined the firm as a law clerk, and works directly with Lori Miller. Jen has picked things up quickly and we’re excited to see her develop more skills. Here is more about Jen’s story:
“I wanted to be an attorney since I was a kid, and I knew that hard work and dedication would get me where I wanted to be. I graduated from Penn State University in three years and continued my studies at Delaware Law School. I started as a Law Clerk at GMR in the fall of my 3L year, and I loved the atmosphere of the firm and how the environment here is very welcoming and team focused. I have learned a lot so far and look forward to continuing to grow throughout my career. It is an honor to work with such a wonderful group of attorneys and staff that only want to see you succeed.
Some advice I would pass along to other women looking to work in the legal field is to be prepared to never stop learning. This is a field full of amazing and incredibly intelligent women, and everyone at each level can teach you something new. From personal experience, this profession has some of the best people who are always willing to help, whether they work in operations, support staff, or are fellow attorneys. Kindness and respect go a long way in this profession, and it is a team effort from the beginning to the end. “
