GMR Partner Matt Moroney won a Westchester County, NY trial involving significant property damage with no liability defense. The plaintiff, who had no prior injuries, underwent surgeries on both knees and injections to her neck and back.
During closing arguments, plaintiff’s counsel asked the jury to award $600,000. Matt was able to impeach the credibility of the plaintiff and the credibility of the plaintiff’s experts. The jury deliberated for about 90 minutes and found that the plaintiff did not sustain a serious injury as defined under New York law.
