Nikita (“Niki”) Desai is an associate in GMR’s Philadelphia office, focusing her practice on motor vehicle, premises, general liability, and personal injury. Throughout her career, Niki has provided legal counsel and support in various settings, giving her a well-rounded view of the area’s legal landscape. She has gained invaluable experience through internships with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office, clerkships and legal assisting for multiple attorneys, associate positions with some of the area’s largest law firms, and a stretch as in-house counsel for a medical office in the Greater Philadelphia area.
Niki earned her law degree from the Widener School of Law in 2014. She earned dual undergraduate Spanish and Criminal Justice degrees from Penn State University in 2008. She is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey and in Federal Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
In addition to her legal skills, Ms. Desai is tri-lingual, speaking fluent English, Spanish, and Gujarati. In her free time, Niki enjoys spending time with her husband and young son and traveling. She is also involved with the Penn State Liberal Arts Alumni Mentor Program, and acts as a mentor to several students.
